Atlanta, GA - Bijan Robinson carried the ball 29 times for 132 yards, and the Atlanta Falcons extended their winning streak to four games with a 28-14 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 6.
Atlanta entered the game on a three-game winning streak and finished with 379 offensive yards, including 174 on the ground, while recording 25 first downs and four touchdowns on five red-zone trips.
Chicago arrived on a three-game losing streak and left Atlanta with another setback despite 306 passing yards from Caleb Williams and a 100-yard receiving performance from Colston Loveland. The Bears finished with 328 offensive yards but were limited to 42 rushing yards and converted only one of seven third-down attempts.
Robinson handled the largest workload of the afternoon and averaged more than 4.5 yards per carry. His rushing line included a touchdown and a long run of 18 yards. He also caught three passes for 38 yards, giving him 170 yards from scrimmage.
"Twenty-nine carries is a real workload, and I wanted to be dependable every time I got the ball," Robinson said. "The rushing touchdown was good, but I'm just as pleased that I could contribute in the passing game too. There are different ways to stay involved."
Anthony Richardson Sr complemented that production with an efficient passing performance. He completed 18 of 23 attempts for 211 yards, one touchdown and one interception, finishing with a 101.2 passer rating. Richardson also rushed seven times for 26 yards and a touchdown, with a long run of 13 yards.
Richardson's 78.3% completion rate stood out against a Chicago defense that recorded one sack and one interception. Kyle Pitts Sr led Atlanta's receivers with six catches for 70 yards and a touchdown, and his longest reception covered 27 yards.
"The completion percentage is encouraging because it shows we were getting consistent production," Richardson said. "The interception is the part I want to clean up. We had a good mix between the passing numbers and what we did on the ground, and that's something we can build on."
The team comparisons reflected Atlanta's broader efficiency. The Falcons recorded 12 more first downs than the Bears and held a 132-yard advantage in rushing production. Atlanta went 5-for-12 on third down and 1-for-2 on fourth down. Chicago, by comparison, finished 1-for-7 on third down and did not attempt a fourth down.
Both teams converted most of their red-zone opportunities into touchdowns, but Atlanta reached the red zone five times compared with three trips for Chicago. The Falcons scored four touchdowns on those five appearances, while the Bears scored two touchdowns in three visits. Neither team recorded a red-zone field goal.
Williams supplied most of Chicago's offensive production through the air. He completed 13 of 29 passes for 306 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, producing a 66.1 passer rating. He also ran twice for 18 yards.
Loveland provided the Bears' biggest receiving total with two catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. His performance included an 89-yard reception, which was also the longest completion listed for Williams. Chicago's ground production was far more limited, although Kyle Monangai scored a rushing touchdown while gaining 21 yards on six carries.
"There were yards in the passing game, but the completion rate and the two interceptions are the numbers I'm looking at," Williams said. "One conversion on seven third downs isn't where we want to be. We have to be more consistent with the opportunities we get."
Atlanta's defense finished with two sacks and two interceptions. Chicago recorded one sack, and Jaylon Johnson collected the Bears' lone interception. The Falcons nevertheless completed more than twice as many third-down conversions and generated 51 more offensive yards.
The final result maintained the contrasting directions the teams brought into Week 6. Atlanta entered with three consecutive victories and added a 14-point win at home, while Chicago's three-game losing streak entering the week remained unresolved after the Bears were held to two touchdowns.
