The Seahawks were licking their chops against Chargers backup quarterback, Kellen Clemens, who is starting with Philip Rivers out for the next four weeks. Seattle’s defense picked up three sacks and two turnovers and sailed to to the easy win.

Sounding like a broken record, the Falcons eased their way to victory picking up a win over the Dalton-less Bengals sacking A.J. McCarron four times and picking him off three times.

Robert Griffin III is off to an incredibly hot start with 500 passing yards, an 82.5 completion percentage, and 5 touchdowns thrown with 0 interceptions. Let’s see if he continue the hot start against the (2-0) Eagles this week.

Monday night’s performance shows what a threat Philly can be, considering Nick Foles missed some wide-open receivers, the club fared quite poorly in the first half — and the Eagles still won.

They looked like the Patriots we’ve come to know against the Vikings. The defense rebounded in a big way.

The 49ers blew a 24-0 lead in the second half sending their second straight game into overtime. Fans are hoping for less theatrics next week when they face the Cardinals.

The Cardinals hold the title of number one defense in the league and they will need it next week vs. the 49ers. You better believe they will be watching game tape of the 49er’s week one game vs. the Cowboys.

Jay Cutler led a ferocious comeback in the second half to tie the game up in the 4th but unlike in the Buffalo game, the Bears couldn’t secure the win. Jay Cutler, while throwing for 300 yards threw four picks in the process and that will need to be corrected.

Who are these guys? First a game winning touchdown late to beat the Steelers and then upsetting the Saints in week two? Manziel is not only protecting the football but is spreading it around wreaking havoc on defenses.

Aaron Rodgers had another lackluster game only throwing for 174 yards and also throwing 2 interceptions. A win is a win but it has Packer fans worried.

With Peyton Manning injured the Broncos played well but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the Chiefs. While not ideal this could start the transition to Brock Osweiller full time, especially with Manning’s age.

Fans are excited that they might have found their quarterback of the future in Mike Glennon. Another good game, another win as Glennon led the offense with no mistakes.

Scrounging up seven points last week was just enough to claim victory over the Jets but this week the Raiders were shut out as they lost to the Texans. There are serious question marks with this Raiders offense, question marks that will need to be addressed if playoffs are expected.

The defense came alive, led by Henry Melton and Rolando McClain — both were acquired for pennies on the dollar this offseason. The Cowboys followed the blueprint they always set out but often veer away from by running the ball successfully and controlling the clock.

After their week one heartbreaking loss the Steelers rebounded with an impressive win over the Ravens racking up six sacks and two takeaways.

The Dolphins defense confused the Bills making E.J. Manuel look like a rookie after picking him off four times. They also held the Bills to 28% on 3rd down.

Overall the Lions looked ok in their week two loss to the Panthers. They were able to move the ball down the field but key turnovers in the second half closed the door on a possible win. If they limit the turnovers the Lions will be in good shape for a possible division crown.

The defense didn’t miss the bus this week and actually showed up to the game on time. The Raiders had no answers and while the Texans offense wasn’t good either they did just enough to get the job done.

After only picking up 12 yards in week one, Jamaal Charles ran for 60 yards in week two’s win over the Broncos. The Chiefs have to get him going if they want to continue to creep up these rankings.

Lost opportunity for the Giants, facing a Cardinals team in front of the home crowd in MetLife. This deal has 5-11 written all over it. Of course, we’ve said that kind of thing about Giant teams before. Perhaps we should wait … like a week or so.

At some point, the Saints’ defense is going to have to make plays when it matters, or this team will have little chance to compete for another Super Bowl. It’s not panic time yet, but the red button is blinking and ready to be pushed.

The Panthers came out with something to prove after getting spanked by the Bucs in week one. They did just that by beating a good Lion’s team and hopefully righting the ship.

Losing Andy Dalton to injury didn’t hurt the Bengals in week one but his absence clearly showed in week two’s blowout loss to the Falcons.

The Packers game was a perfect example of what they will get this season: a little of the good Geno Smith with some of the bad.

I guess Superbowl qualifying teams can have Superbowl slumps too as the Bills showed in last week’s game vs. the Dolphins. They hope to break out of that slump vs. the Chargers this week.

The Ravens aren’t that far away from being a good team. They have showed promise and have kept their games relatively close but haven’t shown that they have what it takes to finish games.

Tough “home” opener for the Vikes against the Patriots. Defenders have a better shot of putting their hands on a receiver without a flag being thrown than Matt Cassel does of evading pressure right now. Holy cow. #pocketawareness

Without Phillip Rivers the Chargers are just a bad team. Projected to be out an additional month, I am not sure what to tell the fan base.

After overspending on overrated free-agent LG Zane Beadles, the Jaguars offensive line is looking even worse than it did in 2013. They’ve allowed 8 sacks against the Redskins/Eagles and that number is not a typo.
