Chicago, IL - Saquon Barkley delivered production as both a runner and receiver, scoring four touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Chicago Bears 49-16 in Week 3.

Barkley rushed 20 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns, averaging more than seven yards per carry and breaking a 33-yard run. His impact extended to the passing game, where he caught two passes for 103 yards and another touchdown. His longest reception covered 78 yards.

The combined performance gave Barkley 246 yards from scrimmage on 22 touches. Philadelphia finished with 169 rushing yards overall, compared with 47 for Chicago.

"I wanted to be productive wherever the ball came to me," Barkley said. "Running it, catching it - the job is to get as much as you can from every opportunity. We finished with a result we can feel good about."

Jalen Hurts complemented Barkley with an efficient performance through the air. Hurts completed 15 of 22 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns, posting a 139.3 passer rating. He also ran four times for 22 yards and a touchdown.

DeVonta Smith caught five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, with a long reception of 33 yards. Barkley and Smith accounted for Hurts' two passing scores, giving the Eagles several prominent contributors in a 49-point performance.

"We were efficient, and we got strong production from different parts of the offense," Hurts said. "Saquon gave us a lot in both phases, and DeVonta was productive when the ball went his way. There are still details to evaluate, but scoring 49 points is something we can build from."

Philadelphia recorded 434 offensive yards, including 265 passing and 169 rushing, while Chicago finished with 392 offensive yards. The Eagles had 21 first downs to the Bears' 23, showing that the final margin was not simply a reflection of how often each offense moved the chains.

Efficiency and turnovers provided the more pronounced statistical contrasts. Philadelphia converted six of nine third downs, while Chicago went 5-for-10 and failed on both of its fourth-down attempts. The Eagles' defense finished with two sacks and four interceptions.

Caleb Williams completed 33 of 51 passes for 364 yards and a touchdown, but his four interceptions left him with a 59.5 passer rating. Quinyon Mitchell, Jihaad Campbell and Riq Woolen were among the Philadelphia defenders who recorded interceptions. Campbell returned his interception nine yards, while Woolen had a 16-yard return.

"Four interceptions is too many, no matter what the rest of the numbers look like," Williams said. "There were completions and yards, but we didn't get the result we needed. I have to be more consistent with the football."

Chicago still generated substantial production in the passing game. Rome Odunze led the Bears with nine receptions for 126 yards, while Zavion Thomas caught seven passes for 97 yards. D'Andre Swift added five receptions for 23 yards and Chicago's lone receiving touchdown.

The Bears had far less volume on the ground. Swift carried six times for 51 yards, including a 29-yard run, but Chicago's team rushing total was 47 yards. Philadelphia, by comparison, received 143 rushing yards from Barkley and another 22 from Hurts.

The teams also posted different red-zone totals. Philadelphia made seven trips and scored three touchdowns without a field goal. Chicago reached the red zone five times, finishing those opportunities with one touchdown and two field goals.

For the Bears, the 345 team passing yards and 23 first downs were notable pieces of a 392-yard offensive output, but the afternoon ended with a 33-point defeat. Philadelphia paired Barkley's four touchdowns and Hurts' efficient quarterback line with four defensive interceptions in the Week 3 win.
