Baltimore Ravens intercept Dak Prescott four times in 34-10 Week 3 win over Dallas Cowboys

Arlington, TX - Lamar Jackson delivered an efficient two-touchdown performance, and the Baltimore Ravens intercepted Dak Prescott four times in a 34-10 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3.

The final margin stood in sharp contrast to the overall yardage. Dallas finished with 302 offensive yards, 10 more than Baltimore, and each team recorded 17 first downs. The Ravens, however, posted the far better numbers in two prominent areas: interceptions and red-zone production.

Baltimore recorded four interceptions while going without one of its own, and its defense added three sacks. The Ravens also scored three touchdowns across four red-zone trips. Dallas reached the red zone four times but finished those opportunities without a touchdown or field goal.

Jackson completed 11 of 15 passes for 147 yards and finished with a 143.6 passer rating. Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews each caught a touchdown pass, giving Baltimore scoring production from two of its leading targets. Rashod Bateman led the Ravens with 47 receiving yards on three catches, including a 41-yard reception.

"We were efficient in the passing game, and Zay and Mark finished their opportunities," Jackson said. "You want to be accurate, make good decisions and give the offense a chance to get points when the field gets shorter. There are always things to clean up, but that is a good standard for us."

The Ravens complemented Jackson’s passing line with 151 rushing yards, finishing with 10 more yards on the ground than through the air. Jarquez Hunter handled the largest share of that production, gaining 91 yards on 17 carries. His longest run went for 14 yards.

Baltimore’s defense supplied production at multiple levels. Trenton Simpson registered two of the Ravens’ three sacks. Malaki Starks and Kyle Hamilton each recorded an interception, with Starks adding two pass deflections and Hamilton contributing another.

"The rush got home three times, and the guys on the back end finished when the ball came their way," Simpson said. "That is the kind of production everybody on defense can appreciate. Four interceptions is a big number, and we know how difficult it is to put that together."

Prescott completed 24 of 39 passes for 222 yards, but the four interceptions left him with a 37.4 passer rating. Dallas still found passing-yard production through Ryan Flournoy, who caught four passes for 74 yards and had a 39-yard reception. George Pickens added five catches for 37 yards.

The Cowboys also rushed for 97 yards. Their offense converted 5 of 13 third downs and 2 of 3 fourth downs, yet the red-zone totals remained empty. Baltimore went 3 of 8 on third down, making the differences in scoring efficiency and defensive takeaways stand out even more against otherwise similar first-down and offensive-yardage totals.

"Four interceptions is not acceptable, and I have to own that," Prescott said. "We moved the ball enough to get four red-zone opportunities, but we did not finish any of them with a touchdown or a field goal. Those are two areas that have to be much better from me and from our offense."

Dallas produced 205 team passing yards to Baltimore’s 141 and finished with the slight advantage in offensive yards. Baltimore countered statistically with its four interceptions, three sacks, three red-zone touchdowns and Jackson’s 73.3% completion rate.

That profile accompanied the most important number of the day: a 24-point Ravens victory. Baltimore left Arlington with a 34-10 Week 3 result despite Dallas holding the narrow edge in offensive yardage.
