Santa Clara, CA - Dylan Laube delivered the game's top rushing performance, and the Las Vegas defense intercepted Brock Purdy three times as the Raiders defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Week 9.
Laube rushed for 133 yards on 22 carries, leading a Las Vegas ground game that finished with 194 yards. His longest run covered 30 yards, and his workload matched Christian McCaffrey for the most rushing attempts in the game.
"Twenty-two carries is a full day, but I felt good and wanted to keep giving us positive runs," Laube said. "There were yards available, and my focus was on being consistent every time I got the ball."
The Raiders also received a more explosive contribution from A.J. Dillon, who gained 65 yards on six attempts and scored a rushing touchdown. Dillon broke the game's longest run, a 55-yarder that accounted for most of his production and added another dimension to the Las Vegas backfield.
Aidan O’Connell completed 11 of 20 passes for 150 yards, one touchdown and one interception, finishing with a 74.9 passer rating. His touchdown came with 6:13 remaining in the second quarter, when he connected with Brock Bowers for a 1-yard score. Bowers finished with three catches for 28 yards.
"On that touchdown, Brock and I were on the same page," O’Connell said. "It was only one yard, but you still have to execute and finish the play. Overall, there are throws I'd like back, but getting the win is what matters."
Luke McCaffrey led all receivers with 73 yards on three catches, including a 41-yard reception. Las Vegas finished with 141 team passing yards and 335 offensive yards, recording 16 first downs while converting 3 of 10 third downs and its only fourth-down attempt.
San Francisco generated more offense overall, finishing with 355 offensive yards to Las Vegas' 335. Purdy threw for a game-high 240 yards, completing 21 of 31 passes with one touchdown, but his three interceptions contributed to a 61.9 passer rating. The 49ers recorded 229 team passing yards and converted 4 of 10 third downs, while going 0-for-2 on fourth down.
"Three interceptions are too many," Purdy said. "We moved the ball and had production, but I have to be cleaner with my decisions. That's the part of this game I'm going to look at first."
Christian McCaffrey supplied San Francisco with 127 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. His longest run went for 41 yards, and the 49ers finished with 126 team rushing yards after accounting for their other rushing results.
Christian Kirk provided San Francisco's longest reception, a 53-yard gain, and caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. The 53-yard play also stood as the longest completion of the game. San Francisco's passing production helped the team finish with a 20-yard advantage in offense, though the Raiders still secured the 11-point victory.
The turnover totals offered the clearest defensive contrast. Las Vegas recorded three interceptions and two sacks, while San Francisco produced one interception and one sack. Both teams registered 16 first downs, leaving the turnover and rushing numbers among the most notable statistical differences between them.
San Francisco also received a 25-yard field goal from Eddy Pineiro as the second quarter expired. The 49ers made two field goals across four red-zone trips and scored one touchdown inside the 20. Las Vegas reached the red zone five times and recorded one touchdown there.
The victory moved the Raiders from 5-3 to 6-3 and sent them into their next matchup having responded to a loss in their previous game. San Francisco fell from 4-3 to 4-4 after entering the week on a one-game winning streak.
