Great grit was shown by the Ravens this week. They went on the road and won against the Jaguars in the Wild Card round.

It was over when:
Late in the 4th quarter the Ravens up by 11, on 3rd and 5 at the Jaguars 42 yard line. Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw an ill-advised interception. The Jaguars took advantage of the play by scoring a touchdown on a deep 58 yard pass by QB Blaine Gabbert to WR Justin Blackmon. Following the touchdown and trailing by 4 the Jaguars went for the two point conversion and got it to cut the deficit to a field goal.

The Jaguars then lined up for the onside kick and were unable to recover the ball allowing the Ravens to simply kneel on the next three downs and let time expire.

Game Ball
Ravens RE Haloti Ngata was one of the main reasons the Jaguars were not able to do much on offense. Ngata had 4 solo tackles, 2 were for big losses, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble.

Key Stat

This was a really evenly matched game, but it was the Ravens defense that made the key plays at key times. Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert was sacked 4 times in this game and had constant pressure all game long, which also resulted in him throwing an interception. “It’s tough you know, when you get very little time in the pocket trying to read the play and finding someone open. Gotta give them credit though they played well as we did, but just could get it done today.” said Blaine during his post-game conference.
Noteworthy

The Jaguars 11 points are the lowest so far in these playoffs.

The Ravens have now won 3 straight games on the road.
With the win Ravens head coach Luis Llado is now 1-1, he lost last year as head coach of the San Diego Chargers to the Oakland Raiders in a close wild card game.
