Seattle, WA - The Seattle Seahawks entered Week 7 unbeaten and turned a meeting with the 4-1 Kansas City Chiefs into their most emphatic confirmation yet that the winning streak remains intact.

Seattle built an advantage, steadily created separation and defeated Kansas City 42-10, improving to 7-0 with an offensive performance that produced 490 yards and touchdowns from several of its leading playmakers.

Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet combined for five rushing touchdowns, while Sam Darnold threw for 303 yards and Jaxon Smith-Njigba delivered the game's top receiving performance. The Seahawks complemented their passing production with 187 rushing yards, giving Kansas City few opportunities to narrow the margin once the game began moving firmly in Seattle's direction.

"We were able to keep playing our game and stay patient," Darnold said. "There wasn't a feeling that one person had to do everything. We had production in the passing game, the backs were finishing runs, and we kept moving forward."

Darnold completed 25 of 38 passes with one touchdown and a 98.9 passer rating. His 303 passing yards were a game high and nearly doubled Patrick Mahomes' total of 157. Darnold also produced the game's longest completion at 74 yards.

Smith-Njigba finished with five catches for a game-high 121 yards and a touchdown. His 74-yard reception was the longest catch of the game and gave Seattle an explosive element alongside the consistent underneath work of its other targets.

The Seahawks did not need to rely exclusively on the pass. Price carried 17 times for a game-high 94 yards and two touchdowns. Charbonnet added 75 yards on nine attempts and scored three times, giving the pair 169 rushing yards and all five of Seattle's rushing touchdowns.

"When both of us are getting opportunities, the standard doesn't change," Price said. "You want every run to put the offense in a better position. Five touchdowns between us says a lot about how productive the ground game was."

Seattle's statistical advantages extended well beyond its individual leaders. The Seahawks recorded 20 first downs to Kansas City's nine and finished with 490 offensive yards compared with the Chiefs' 268. Seattle converted 6 of 12 third downs, while Kansas City went 1-for-12.

The red-zone contrast was just as pronounced. Seattle reached the red zone four times and scored a touchdown on every trip. Kansas City made one red-zone appearance and came away without a touchdown or field goal.

Those differences accompanied a game that became increasingly one-sided. Seattle continued to widen its advantage, while Kansas City struggled to develop a sustained answer. The Seahawks finished with more passing yards, more rushing yards and more than twice as many first downs.

Mahomes completed 13 of 29 passes for 157 yards, one touchdown and one interception, finishing with a 59.1 passer rating. He also rushed four times for 27 yards. The Seahawks recorded two sacks and an interception against Kansas City, while the Chiefs finished with one sack and no interceptions.

"One for 12 on third down is not good enough," Mahomes said. "We didn't sustain enough offense, and when you're not extending possessions, it's hard to establish any consistency. We have to be much better than that."

Ollie Gordon II supplied Kansas City's most productive rushing performance, gaining 80 yards on 17 carries with a long run of 29 yards. The Chiefs finished with 111 rushing yards as a team, but the passing game remained limited outside of a few contributions.

Rashee Rice led Kansas City with six catches for 84 yards, including a 31-yard reception. Xavier Worthy caught four passes for 47 yards and recorded the Chiefs' lone receiving touchdown. Even with those contributions, Kansas City finished with only 157 passing yards and 10 points.

Seattle, by contrast, found production through the air and on the ground without sacrificing efficiency in scoring territory. Darnold topped 300 yards, Smith-Njigba surpassed 100 receiving yards, and both Price and Charbonnet scored multiple touchdowns.

The result sent the Seahawks from 6-0 to 7-0, preserving their unbeaten start with a 32-point victory over a Kansas City team that arrived having won four of its first five games.

Up Next

Seattle will remain home in Week 8 to face the Chicago Bears as it looks to extend its undefeated start, while Kansas City will travel to face the Denver Broncos and try to rebound from the loss.
