ARLINGTON, TX - Jalen Hurts threw three touchdown passes, Saquon Barkley rushed for 192 yards and two scores, and the Philadelphia Eagles spoiled the Dallas Cowboys‘ Thanksgiving celebration with a 38-31 victory in Week 12.

On a holiday traditionally associated with football in Dallas, Philadelphia delivered an offensive feast of its own, piling up 547 yards at AT&T Stadium. The Eagles combined 336 net passing yards with 211 rushing yards, using explosive plays through the air and on the ground to outlast their division rivals in a high-scoring Thanksgiving matchup.

For the Cowboys, the holiday ended in frustration. Despite producing 485 offensive yards, including 297 on the ground, Dallas couldn’t keep pace with an Eagles offense that received five combined touchdowns from Hurts and Barkley.

Game Recap

Hurts turned in one of his sharpest passing performances of the season, completing 21 of 26 attempts for 344 yards and three touchdowns. He finished with a remarkable 157.2 passer rating without throwing an interception.

The Philadelphia quarterback repeatedly found opportunities against the Dallas secondary, distributing the ball efficiently while giving his receivers room to create explosive plays.

"We were efficient, and we didn't waste many opportunities," Hurts said. "When you have that kind of production in both parts of the offense, you can keep putting pressure on a defense. The biggest thing is that we finished with the result we wanted."

Barkley was equally imposing in the running game. The Eagles running back carried 16 times for a game-high 192 yards and two touchdowns, averaging an extraordinary 12 yards per attempt. His longest run covered 60 yards, highlighting the explosive rushing threat Dallas struggled to contain throughout the Thanksgiving contest.

The combination gave Philadelphia a balanced attack that kept the Cowboys guessing. Hurts could punish Dallas through the air, while Barkley threatened to turn any opening into a substantial gain.

Dallas Goedert emerged as Hurts’ most productive receiving target, catching five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns. His 78-yard reception was the longest catch of the game and helped fuel Philadelphia’s big-play passing attack.

DeVonta Smith added five receptions for 90 yards and another touchdown, giving the Eagles two receiving threats who consistently stretched the Dallas defense.

"There were chances to create yards, and I wanted to be aggressive with every catch," Goedert said. "Jalen was accurate, everybody stayed involved and we were able to get a lot out of the passing game."

Dallas had plenty of offensive production of its own.

Javonte Williams led the Cowboys with 174 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, including a 45-yard run. Malik Davis added 90 yards and two scores on 14 attempts, giving Dallas a formidable rushing tandem that combined for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

The Cowboys finished with 297 rushing yards, surpassing Philadelphia’s total by 86, while also recording 28 first downs to the Eagles’ 21.

Dak Prescott completed 20 of 26 passes for 201 yards, one touchdown and one interception. CeeDee Lamb led Dallas with 76 receiving yards on three catches, including a 52-yard gain, while Luke Schoonmaker caught six passes for 47 yards and Prescott’s lone touchdown.

"We moved the chains and got a lot from the running game, but we didn't come away with the win," Prescott said. "That's the part that matters. There were good numbers in some areas, but the final score is what we have to own."

Key Stats

The Thanksgiving matchup produced a combined 1,032 offensive yards, with both teams finding success through different approaches.

Philadelphia finished with 547 total yards, including 336 net passing yards and 211 rushing yards. Dallas countered with 485 total yards, relying heavily on a ground attack that generated 297 yards.

Hurts and Barkley were responsible for all five Philadelphia touchdowns, with Goedert catching two scoring passes and Smith hauling in the third.

Dallas converted 5 of 10 third downs and one of two fourth downs. Philadelphia converted 2 of 6 third downs and failed on its lone fourth-down attempt.

The Cowboys also reached the red zone seven times, producing four touchdowns and a field goal. Philadelphia registered two red-zone touchdowns and one field goal across its seven trips.

Defensively, Philadelphia held a narrow edge in sacks, recording two compared with Dallas’ one. The Eagles also forced the game’s only interception, with Ronnie Hickman picking off Prescott.

That turnover proved particularly notable in a contest where both offenses consistently moved the football.

Thanksgiving Belongs to Philadelphia

The final statistics illustrated just how unusual this holiday matchup became.

Dallas controlled several traditional measures of offensive success, including first downs, rushing yards and third-down efficiency. Williams and Davis repeatedly moved the chains, and the Cowboys generated enough offense to make the game competitive.

But Philadelphia possessed the more explosive scoring combination.

With Hurts throwing three touchdowns and Barkley adding two more, the Eagles repeatedly converted their offensive production into points. Goedert and Smith supplied the receiving fireworks, and Philadelphia’s defense contributed the game’s only takeaway.

The result was a memorable 38-31 Thanksgiving victory for the Eagles, who left Arlington celebrating while the Cowboys were left to reflect on another difficult defeat against a division rival.

For Philadelphia, Thanksgiving came with 547 yards, five offensive touchdowns, and a victory over Dallas. For the Cowboys, the holiday feast came with an unwelcome serving of defeat.
