Carolina Panthers v Arizona Cardinals
Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton is sacked by Cardinals’ cornerback Richard Marshall

Not every team can make the playoffs in their respective divisions therefore the race for a playoff spot is starting to look chaotic.

Summary

Entering Week 5, there were only 3 undefeated teams left and coincidentally, they’re all in the NFC conference! Now it’s safe to say that at least one of the teams will advance to Week 6 with a “0” in the loss column, and it’s the Arizona Cardinals.  And here’s a few words from Coach Arians’ press conference; “Our guys really stepped up with week. I’m all about improving and showing the improvement on a weekly basis. We knew that we were facing a really good NFC team. Cam is a very talented QB, along with his hard working coaches. We really had to stick to our game plan and that was shutting down Cam. ”

Game Ball

Game ball(s) has to go to the whole Cardinals’ offensive line. Carson Palmer was 2nd in the league as the most QB sacked (15) and this week, his offensive line gave up 0 sacks to a hungry Carolina defense.

Key play

In the 3rd quarter, the Panthers were building momentum down the field until John Abraham made an acrobatic interception! That play gave the Cardinals a game winning touchdown.

Noteworthy

  • Sources confirmed that Patrick Peterson is indeed out for 6 weeks. Injury is said to be a dislocated hip possibly suffered from a punt return.
  • The Cardinals’ defensive has yet to allow more than 13 points a game

Tune in next week for possibly a classic NFC West showdown, San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals!
