Charlotte, NC- In a somewhat shocking report it looks like Coach Mark Miller has decided to go ahead start rookie halfback Christian McCaffrey over veteran Jonathan Stewart for their week one match-up against the San Francisco 49ers. “We drafted him early in this years draft for a reason, this kid brings big play potential every time he touches the ball, whether it’s in the passing game or running game.” Said coach Miller.
He isn’t the only one expecting big things from the rookie as veteran QB Cam Newton had a similar take as his coach, “We drafted (McCaffrey) as high as we did to kind of grow up in this offense. We need him to be ready to go.” It looks like the Panthers have high hopes for there rookie running back.
