Both the Vikings and 49ers are looking to keep their seasons alive this week in the divisional round.

How they got here:
The Vikings are coming off their impressive home victory over the Cowboys. The 49ers like last year earned a first round bye by finishing the season with a record of 14-2.

Streaks
The 49ers are on a 7 game win streak and have not lost a game since their week 10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. With their win last week the Vikings are on a 3 game win streak.

Last time they met
The Vikings and 49ers last met in week 3 of last season. The Vikings got shutout at home as the 49ers went on to win that game by a final of 34-0, keep in mind that was before coach Corey Girtz took over the Vikings this season.

49ers head coach Michael Nguyen was asked what his team is doing to prepare for this game “We don’t need a scouting report when we know we are going to face one of the elite running backs in the league. I think it’s going to start from there, stop their run game and we’ll be okay. If we struggle stopping their run game it opens up their play action and that will be a big headache.”
