Buffalo, NY–Buffalo vs Miami was made Game of the Week for a very obvious reason… Buffalo came into this game with a 3 game winning streak and Miami is the best team in the AFC. The first half was very close. The first quarter ended with a 7-3 Miami lead after a touchdown by WR Leonte Carroo. The 2nd quarter was quiet until the clock hit 2:00 minutes as Sammy Watkins caught a 47 yard pass that led to a Treadwell touchdown but buffalo missed the extra point. Miami managed to get a field goal and ended the half with a 10-9 lead. The 2nd half is where everything went perfectly right for Miami…but not in the 3rd. It started with a touchdown by RB Drake followed by Robert Woods touchdown to put Buffalo behind 15-17 with seconds left in the 3rd. But yet again, Miami managed to score with 1 second left to extend the lead to 24-15.
The 4th quarter… the most important quarter in football. Heading into the 4th it was very clear to all of us that this game would be coming down to the very end Miami didn’t approve. Missed tackles became an issue for Buffalo though after Miami returned a punt for a touchdown to extend the lead to 31-15… uh oh can the Bills come back? It was 4&22 with 2:43 left in the game, Bills had to go for it and they did. Taylor threw it deep and got picked off at the 1 and that is game over. All Miami has to do at this point is run the ball and chew the clock right? 2 missed tackles and a 99 yard touchdown by Jarvis Landry to extend the lead to 37-15 after a missed field goal. Buffalo just simply couldn’t do anything at all after that. The game ends and Miami wins 37-15.
Buffalo hosts a very important game against the Patriots and Miami will enjoy a bye week after a win.
