MIAMI, FL - The Miami Dolphins have unveiled their entry in the "Rivalries" uniform series. Set for its inaugural appearance on Monday Night Football against division rival the New York Jets, the new set-formally nicknamed "Dark Waters"-brings a bold, untamed look to South Florida.
A Deep-Sea Look
Gone is the classic aqua-gold pop-in its place is a dark, navy base that recalls the depths of the ocean at night. The jersey features aqua numbers and bright orange accents, with a matte black or deep navy helmet sporting a multicolored dolphin logo. It's a departure from tradition, embracing the hunt-within-the-depths theme.
Rivalry Stage Set
This Alternate will be worn just once during the 2K OLF Season 33-against the Jets in week 4-but is designed to stay in the Dolphins' rotation for three years as part of the Rivalries program.
More Than Just a Jersey
This design taps into local identity, aligning the team's visual identity with its coastal roots. The dark palette, contrasted by sharp aqua and orange, evokes the predatory pride of Miami's marine life-and the intensity of division rivalries. Fans and analysts have had mixed reactions, with some praising the daring aesthetic and others critiquing the break from tradition.
