Peyton Manning Retires after one year with the 49ers

Yesterday Tom Brady announced his retirement and today another legend is retiring, Peyton Manning is calling it quits after one season playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

“It was a great season here in San Francisco. Coach Nguyen was a class act and I’m glad to have played for him. I just feel it’s time for me to walk away from the game I love.” said Peyton Manning during his retirement speech.

Coach Michael Nguyen spoke briefly to the media  after Manning’s speech, “Crushed, thought he was gonna give it another shot and make a push for a Super Bowl win.” When asked if Alex Smith would be the starting quarterback next season he replied “As of now yeah, but we’ll be looking into the draft also.”

With Peyton Manning and Tom Brady retiring on back to back days, they become the first pair of quarterbacks in 2K OLF history to retire after appearing in the same Super Bowl.
