Jayden Daniels throws 3 TDs as Washington Commanders top Indianapolis Colts 45-31 in Week 4

London, United Kingdom - Jayden Daniels threw three touchdown passes, Washington rushed for 204 yards and the Commanders defeated the Indianapolis Colts 45-31 in a Week 4 international matchup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The London stage provided a different setting for the two American teams, but Washington’s offense delivered a familiar combination of explosive passing and productive rushing. Daniels completed 24 of 32 passes for 289 yards and finished with a 133.4 passer rating, directing an offense that accumulated 493 offensive yards and 21 first downs.

Washington built an advantage during a high-scoring exchange, absorbed stretches of Indianapolis pressure and gradually created enough separation to finish with a 14-point victory. The Commanders’ balanced offensive performance gave the international crowd plenty of scoring action as both teams combined for 76 points.

The Commanders spread their passing production across several targets. Jaylin Lane caught three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, including a 59-yard reception. Stefon Diggs added four catches for 52 yards and a score, while Terry McLaurin finished with three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown.

"We were able to attack different areas and get several guys involved," Daniels said. "When the ball was spread around and we stayed efficient, the offense had a good rhythm. Scoring 45 is something to appreciate, but there are still details we can clean up."

Washington’s rushing output provided an equally prominent part of the statistical picture. Jacory Croskey-Merritt gained 99 yards on 15 carries, narrowly missing the 100-yard mark, and broke a 43-yard run. Rachaad White carried nine times for 69 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns. His longest run covered 25 yards.

Together, Croskey-Merritt and White accounted for 168 of Washington’s 204 rushing yards. The Commanders averaged productive gains without relying on a single featured runner, complementing Daniels’ efficient passing line with one of the afternoon’s clearest team advantages. Indianapolis finished with 105 rushing yards.

"Jacory and I both had opportunities, and we wanted to be ready every time we got the ball," White said. "Two touchdowns feels good, but the bigger thing is seeing the whole offense put up that kind of production."

The final score did not come from a conventional statistical profile in every category. Washington converted only 3 of 8 third downs and scored one touchdown on four red-zone trips. Indianapolis, by comparison, went 7-for-14 on third down and scored touchdowns on both of its red-zone possessions. Even with those contrasts, the Commanders finished with 83 more offensive yards and six more first downs.

Indianapolis remained productive through the air. Daniel Jones completed 21 of 36 passes for 305 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, earning a 92.9 passer rating. His longest completion went for 70 yards, and the Colts finished with 410 offensive yards despite playing from behind as Washington created separation.

Kareem Hunt carried the Indianapolis rushing attack with 91 yards and two touchdowns on 15 attempts. In the passing game, Keenan Allen turned three receptions into 96 yards and a touchdown, with his 70-yard catch accounting for the Colts’ longest completion. Josh Downs caught three passes for 62 yards and another touchdown.

Those performances gave Indianapolis several ways to answer Washington’s scoring pace, keeping the contest competitive as the teams exchanged touchdowns in London. The Colts never fully erased the Commanders’ broader advantage, however, and Washington continued to find enough production to protect its lead.

Washington recorded the game’s only interception and finished with one sack. Indianapolis registered two sacks but did not intercept Daniels.

"We moved the ball and had some explosive production, but 31 points wasn’t enough today," Jones said. "The interception is one I have to own. When the other side is scoring at that rate, we have to be sharper with every opportunity."

Washington’s balance ultimately defined the box score: 289 passing yards, 204 rushing yards and five offensive touchdowns accounted for by Daniels and White. The Commanders did not need a 100-yard individual rusher or receiver to reach 45 points, instead getting substantial production from multiple parts of the offense.

For Indianapolis, the loss came despite Jones surpassing 300 passing yards, Hunt approaching 100 on the ground and the offense converting half of its third downs. Washington simply finished with the larger offensive total and the decisive result.

The Commanders’ trip across the Atlantic ended with a 45-31 Week 4 victory, as Daniels’ three touchdown passes and a rushing attack that surpassed 200 yards helped Washington deliver a productive showing on the international stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
