Green Bay, WI - The Dallas Cowboys ended four weeks of frustration with a 189-yard rushing performance, defeating the Green Bay Packers 21-7 in Week 6. Javonte Williams rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown as Dallas snapped a four-game losing streak.

The final margin reflected a substantial difference in overall production. Dallas finished with 340 offensive yards, including 189 on the ground, while Green Bay managed 168 offensive yards and 65 rushing yards. The Cowboys also recorded 20 first downs to the Packers' 10.

Williams handled the largest share of the work, carrying 23 times with a long run of 15 yards. He scored on a five-yard run in the third quarter, and Brandon Aubrey made the extra point. Emari Demercado added another dimension to the Dallas backfield with 68 yards on only five attempts, including a 35-yard run.

"When you get that many carries, you want to keep giving the offense something positive," Williams said. "After losing four in a row, the result was the most important thing. We needed to leave here with a win."

Dallas produced that result despite an uneven passing performance from Dak Prescott. The quarterback completed 17 of 27 passes for 162 yards but threw three interceptions and finished with a 39.9 passer rating. Green Bay's defense recorded all three interceptions and one sack, yet the Packers were unable to match the Cowboys' yardage or scoring output.

George Pickens was Prescott's most productive target, catching eight passes for 86 yards. His longest reception covered 33 yards, which was also Prescott's longest completion of the game. The Cowboys finished with 151 team passing yards after accounting for sacks.

"Three interceptions isn't acceptable, and I know I have to be cleaner with the football," Prescott said. "I'm glad we got the win, but there's plenty for me to correct. Javonte and the other backs put together a really productive day."

The turnover totals made for an unusual statistical picture. Green Bay intercepted Prescott three times, while Dallas picked off Jordan Love twice and recorded one sack. Neither offense was efficient on third down: the Cowboys converted 2 of 10 attempts, and the Packers went 2-for-8. Each team finished 1-for-2 on fourth down.

Love completed 18 of 27 passes for 107 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, posting a 55.6 passer rating. His longest completion went for 16 yards. Tucker Kraft caught a touchdown among his two receptions, while Josh Jacobs led the Green Bay ground game with 49 yards on 13 carries.

Green Bay reached the red zone twice and scored one touchdown. Dallas made four red-zone trips, finishing with one touchdown and one field goal. Neither team converted every red-zone trip into points, but Dallas still finished with a two-touchdown advantage on the scoreboard.

"We didn't create enough consistent offense, and I put the ball in danger too often," Love said. "When you finish with seven points, there isn't much to feel good about. We have to be more productive with the chances we get."

For Dallas, the most important number was the one in the win column. The Cowboys had entered Week 6 carrying four consecutive losses, then left Green Bay with a 14-point victory, a 172-yard advantage in offensive production and their first win since the losing streak began.

Up Next

Dallas will remain on the road in Week 7 to face the Philadelphia Eagles, looking to follow up its streak-ending victory. Green Bay will also travel, visiting the Detroit Lions as the Packers try to rebound from the loss.
