ARLINGTON, TX — The Dallas Cowboys remain undefeated after a dominant 37-18 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 6. The Cowboys, now 6-0, controlled the game from start to finish, sending the Lions to 1-5 as they continue their four-game road trip. With this win, Dallas heads into their bye week in complete command of their season, while Detroit searches for answers as they prepare for another tough matchup next week.
Game Recap
The Cowboys struck first with a 23-yard field goal from Brandon Aubrey to take a 3-0 lead. In the second quarter, Aubrey added another field goal from 45 yards out before Sam LaPorta put the Lions on the board with an 18-yard touchdown reception from Jared Goff. The Cowboys answered quickly as Danny Dansby hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott. Detroit managed to cut the lead to 13-10 with a 20-yard field goal by Brendan Baugh, but Prescott and Dansby connected once more before halftime for a 20-10 Cowboys lead.
Dallas took complete control in the third quarter, starting with Dansby’s third touchdown of the game, a 1-yard catch from Prescott. Moments later, Aaron Jones extended the lead with a 9-yard rushing touchdown, making it 34-10. Detroit showed some fight in the fourth quarter when Jameson Williams returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, and Amon-Ra St. Brown converted a two-point attempt to make it 34-18. However, the Cowboys put the game out of reach with Aubrey’s third field goal of the night, a 37-yarder that sealed the 37-18 victory.
