Matthew Stafford stepped up this week to lead the Eagles to a 26-21 victory over the Cowboys.

>>It was over when…

Following the two minute warning, Cowboys loosing by 5 points and down to one timeout left needed a big stop from their defense. However, that big stop would not com. LeSean McCoy would take off on a 12 yard run giving the Eagles a first down with 1:55 left in the game.

>>Game Ball:

Although he only had two receptions, Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had the game winning touchdown on a 52 yard pass late in the 4th quarter “It was big, you know. I’m glad I was able to help the team win, it was a team effort today against a team that was desperate for a win.” said Terrell Owen after the game.

>>Noteworthy:

Missing Chances. The Cowboys were able to get the Eagles to turn the ball over 3 times on two interceptions and one fumble but where only able to capitalize on one. During the post game press conference coach Perez talk about it saying “That’s something we’ll talk about this week in practice. When you play a team like this, you just can’t afford to not capitalize on their mistakes”.

This was the first meeting in the new era of 2K OLF between these two teams and head coaches. “It was a great game, we knew they would be a desperate team looking to get a win on the road. Our guys didn’t panic, we stuck to our game plan and came up with the big plays when we need them.” said the head coach of the Eagles.

With the win the Eagles improve to 8-1 and remain two games ahead of the Redskins. For the Cowboys the loss was their second in a row, something that has not happen since the start of the season when they lost back to back games in week 1 and week 2. The Cowboys are now 3-6 for the season, 1-2 in their division and 2-6 in the NFC conferece.
