Charlotte, NC - Carolina converted three of its five red-zone trips into touchdowns and rushed for 185 yards in a 31-23 Week 11 victory over Baltimore, ending the Ravens' five-game winning streak.
The Panthers entered the matchup with an 8-1 record and three consecutive wins, while the 7-3 Ravens arrived in Charlotte carrying an even longer streak. Baltimore produced more offensive yards, but Carolina paired an efficient passing performance from Bryce Young with a rushing attack that generated 57 more yards than the Ravens.
Jonathon Brooks gave Carolina its biggest numbers on the ground, finishing with 97 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. His performance included a game-long 71-yard run. Chuba Hubbard handled the largest rushing workload in the game, carrying 14 times for 48 yards as the Panthers finished with 185 rushing yards.
"When the opportunities came, I wanted to make them count," Brooks said. "Getting into the end zone twice and giving the offense that kind of production is something I can build on. We had different guys contributing."
Young completed 17 of 22 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns, posting a 132.1 passer rating without throwing an interception. Darren Waller caught five passes for 47 yards and a touchdown, while Xavier Legette added another scoring reception. Tetairoa McMillan led Carolina with 61 receiving yards on five catches, including a 23-yard reception.
Carolina's work inside the 20 provided one of the game's most notable statistical contrasts. The Panthers scored touchdowns on three of their five red-zone trips and added a field goal. Baltimore also reached the red zone five times but finished those opportunities with one touchdown and three field goals.
"We were accurate in the passing game, and we finished more of those opportunities with touchdowns," Young said. "That's the standard we want. The run game gave us a lot of production, and as a quarterback, you appreciate having that balance around you."
Baltimore still generated 386 offensive yards, compared with Carolina's 365, and both teams recorded 21 first downs. Lamar Jackson delivered the game-high totals in both passing and rushing, completing 26 of 39 attempts for 283 yards and two touchdowns while adding 102 yards on seven carries. His longest completion covered 40 yards, and his longest run went for 32.
Ja’Kobi Lane was Jackson's leading target, catching eight passes for a game-high 121 yards and two touchdowns. Lane also had the game's longest reception at 40 yards. The production gave Baltimore a substantial advantage through the air, with the Ravens finishing at 258 team passing yards compared with Carolina's 180.
"We had yardage and moved the chains, but inside the 20, we want touchdowns instead of field goals," Jackson said. "That's an area we have to be better in. We had chances to get more out of the game, and the result is frustrating."
Carolina recorded three sacks to Baltimore's two, and neither defense came away with an interception. The Panthers also converted three of six third downs, while the Ravens finished 4-for-12. Baltimore succeeded on its only fourth-down attempt.
The victory extended Carolina's winning streak after the Panthers entered Week 11 with three consecutive wins. More significantly, it brought Baltimore's five-game surge to an end and gave Carolina a 31-23 result against another team that entered the week with seven victories.
