Inglewood, CA - Justin Herbert threw three touchdown passes, Omarion Hampton topped 100 yards on the ground and the Los Angeles Chargers ended the New York Jets' three-game winning streak with a 34-28 victory in Week 11.

Los Angeles built an advantage in a game that remained competitive, then absorbed a push from New York that narrowed the final margin to six points. The Chargers finished with 420 offensive yards, getting 260 through the air and 160 on the ground, while the Jets totaled 362 offensive yards.

Herbert completed 21 of 38 passes for a game-high 260 yards and posted a 102.9 passer rating. Tyreek Hill caught five passes for 66 yards and scored twice, while David Njoku added four receptions for 22 yards and another touchdown. Ladd McConkey contributed four catches for 58 yards as Los Angeles spread its passing production across several targets.

"We got contributions from different parts of the offense, and that matters in a game where the other team keeps putting points up," Herbert said. "There were things we could have finished better, but 34 points and a win is something we can build from."

The Chargers also had steady production from their backfield. Hampton carried 15 times for a game-high 103 yards, including the game's longest rush at 35 yards, and scored a touchdown. Kimani Vidal added 58 yards on 13 attempts with another rushing score.

That balance gave Los Angeles several ways to match New York during the game's exchanges. The Chargers created separation without turning the afternoon into a runaway, and the Jets continued cutting into the margin rather than allowing Los Angeles to pull comfortably clear.

"The opportunities were there, and I wanted to get as much as I could out of every carry," Hampton said. "When the passing game and the running game are both producing, everybody can stay involved. We still left some things out there, but this is a good result for us."

New York entered the week at 5-5 after three consecutive victories and produced four touchdowns on four red-zone trips. Cade Klubnik finished 19 of 37 for 224 yards, one touchdown and a 79.1 passer rating. His primary scoring connection went to Garrett Wilson, who caught five passes for 59 yards and a touchdown.

The Jets' ground game accounted for three more scores. Antonio Gibson handled a game-high 19 carries, rushing for 85 yards and two touchdowns, while Isaiah Davis gained 30 yards on six attempts and scored once. Demarcus Robinson led all receivers with 78 yards on four catches, including a 29-yard reception.

"When you score touchdowns on every red-zone trip, you expect to give yourself a real chance," Klubnik said. "We did that, but the final result is what stays with you. We had been building some momentum over the last few weeks, so this one is frustrating."

The teams were separated by only two conversions on third down. Los Angeles went 7-for-17, while New York finished 7-for-19 and converted both of its fourth-down attempts. The Chargers were 1-for-2 on fourth down and scored touchdowns on three of their four red-zone trips.

Pressure was another notable part of the afternoon. Los Angeles recorded five sacks compared with three for New York, and neither defense produced an interception. The Chargers nonetheless allowed the Jets to remain productive enough to keep the score close, particularly with New York's perfect touchdown rate inside the 20.

For Los Angeles, the victory stopped a two-game slide and moved the Chargers forward from their 4-5 entering record. For New York, the loss brought an end to the three-game winning streak that had carried the Jets into Week 11.
