Allen throws 4 TDs, posts 158.3 rating in Bills’ 38-14 rout

Orchard Park, NY - Josh Allen completed 24 of 29 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns, posting a 158.3 passer rating as the Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 38-14 in Week 12. Buffalo piled up 489 offensive yards in its second consecutive victory, while Kansas City's losing streak reached six games.

The separation was clearest through the passing game. Buffalo finished with 368 passing yards compared with Kansas City's 215, and Allen paired his production with remarkable efficiency. His longest completion covered 70 yards, and he added a team-high 54 rushing yards on 10 carries.

The third-down column provided another sharp contrast. Buffalo converted 6 of 12 attempts, while Kansas City went 0-for-10. The Chiefs converted twice on four fourth-down tries, but their offense finished with 14 first downs and 308 offensive yards. Buffalo recorded 18 first downs and averaged more than 16 yards per completion by Allen.

"We were efficient and stayed aggressive without giving the ball away," Allen said. "The receivers created opportunities, and when the ball was there, they finished. That's the kind of balance we've been trying to put together."

Khalil Shakir and DJ Moore supplied Buffalo with two 100-yard receiving performances. Shakir caught seven passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns, while Moore finished with five receptions for a game-high 128 yards and a score. Each had a 70-yard reception, matching the longest catch of the game. Keon Coleman added four catches for 44 yards and Buffalo's other receiving touchdown.

"Everybody had a role in it," Shakir said. "The ball was getting spread around, and our job was to make something out of every chance. When multiple guys are producing, it puts a lot of stress on a defense."

Buffalo also totaled 121 rushing yards. James Cook III handled a game-high 15 carries and finished with 47 yards, while Allen led the Bills in rushing. Kansas City produced 93 yards on the ground, with Kenneth Walker accounting for a game-high 71 yards on 14 attempts and both of the Chiefs' touchdowns. Walker was also Kansas City's leading receiver with seven catches for 69 yards.

Patrick Mahomes completed 20 of 33 passes for 215 yards with one interception and a 67.1 passer rating. His longest completion went for 29 yards. Travis Kelce caught four passes for 56 yards, but no Kansas City receiver reached 70 yards. The Chiefs scored touchdowns on two of their four red-zone trips.

"Going 0-for-10 on third down isn't going to give you much room," Mahomes said. "I also have to take better care of the football. We had some production, but not enough consistency, and the result reflects that."

Both defenses registered three sacks, but Buffalo produced the game's only interception. Kansas City did not record a takeaway, leaving Allen's four-touchdown performance untouched by an interception. The Bills scored touchdowns on two of their three red-zone trips and generated 181 more offensive yards than the Chiefs.

The victory gave Buffalo back-to-back wins after entering the week with a 2-8 record. Kansas City arrived in Orchard Park on a five-game losing streak and departed with that skid extended to six, a difficult outcome made more pronounced by the Chiefs' third-down struggles and Buffalo's overwhelming passing totals.
