Arlington, TX — It’s been quite a summer for the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys following a disappointing season for both teams.

Before last season the 49ers had won their division each season and had made the playoffs every time, expectations were high again but things in the NFC West changed with the emergence of the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers finished the season with a record of 9-7, their lowest win total ever which was good enough for last place in the division.

Coach Nguyen spoke with the media earlier this week about his team’s week one match – “Big game, big test right off the bat. Much respect to coach Perez. Last year was really disappointing, I dreaded the whole summer as I let my guys down. I mean we finished at the bottom of the NFC West. I’ll have my guys ready and we will be displaying 49ers football.”

On the other side of the field we have the Cowboys, a team that just two seasons ago became the first NFC team to go 16-0. However, the last season was a far cry from that magical run.
