It was over when:
The Redskins who were ahead throughout most of the game, found themselves trailing by 3 after allowing the 49ers to score 10 unanswered points. With 2:05 remaining in the game the Redskins began their drive on their own 20 yard line, it was then that Redskins QB Robert Griffin III began one of his best performances of the season against an elite team.
Play after play RG3 made key plays when it matter most, allowing his team to drive down the field to the 2 yard line with 30 seconds left in the game and scoring on a hand off to HB Roy Helu to take a 7 point lead following the extra point.
The 49ers would get 4 chances on their next possession. They almost pulled out the miracle comeback when on 4th & 31 QB Matthew Stafford launched a hail mary all the way down to the Redskins 34 yard line and WR Demaryius Thomas had gotten passed the Redskins defense, however the throw just missed him and with that the Redskins snapped the 49ers undefeated season.
Redskins QB Robert Griffin III played a great game this week, his play in the final two minutes of the quarter was tremendous. He finished the night with 3 touchdowns, 1 interception, 315 yards passing and completed 15 of 25 passes.
