LAS VEGAS, NV — The Las Vegas Raiders continued their undefeated start to the season with a commanding 24-14 victory over the struggling New York Giants. Quarterback Trent Carney delivered a standout performance, leading the Raiders to a 4-0 record, while the Giants dropped their third straight game.

Game Recap

The Raiders wasted no time asserting their dominance, jumping out to an early lead on a precision strike from Carney to Brock Bowers for an 18-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. Las Vegas extended its lead in the second with a Daniel Carlson 47-yard field goal. However, the Giants responded with a huge play from Devin Singletary, who broke free for a stunning 91-yard touchdown run, cutting the deficit to 10-7 at halftime.

Las Vegas regained control in the third quarter, with Carney tossing a 16-yard touchdown to Michael Mayer to push the lead to 17-7. In the fourth, Imani Younger punched in a 1-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach. The Giants found the end zone one last time when Jeremiah Matthews connected with Isaiah Hodgins for a 3-yard touchdown, but it was too little, too late.

Key Stats

The Raiders’ offense was electric, amassing 411 total yards compared to the Giants’ 236. Carney was near-perfect, completing 25-of-31 passes for 342 yards, 2 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Bowers led all receivers with 9 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown, while Jakobi Meyers added 107 yards on 4 receptions. The Raiders dominated time of possession and third-down efficiency, converting 9-of-13 third downs (69.2%) compared to the Giants’ 2-of-7 (28.6%).

For the Giants, Singletary was the lone bright spot, rushing for 150 yards on 9 carries, including a 91-yard touchdown run. However, the passing game struggled, with Matthews limited to just 125 passing yards while being sacked six times by the relentless Raiders defense.

Defensively, Maxx Crosby was a force, recording 3 sacks, while Tyree Wilson and Jerome Baker each added sacks to keep the Giants’ offense off balance.

Up Next

The Giants (1-3) return home next week to face the New Orleans Saints, hoping to break their three-game losing streak. The Raiders (4-0) will hit the road for just the second time this season, traveling to Colorado for a key divisional clash against the Denver Broncos.
