The inaugural 2K OLF Super Bowl came down to two hungry teams. On one side of the field you had the AFC champions New England Patriots, who finished the regular season with a record of 15-1, their only loss came at the hands of their opponent across the field the San Francisco 49ers.

The NFC champions San Francisco 49ers also finished the regular season with a record of 15-1, their one loss came in week one vs the Green Bay Packers. 2K OLF Super Bowl 1 was definitely a tale of two hungry teams looking for a win but only one prestigious 2KOLF Superbowl Trophy.

First Quarter

The game started with the 49ers receiving the ball. Their first play of the game was a 17 yard rush by running back Kendall Hunter, the 49ers were unable to do convert on the next 3 downs and were forced to punt. The New England Patriots on their first play of the game were called for a delay of game, on 1st and 15 Tom Brady dropped back and delivered a perfect throw across the middle of the field to Wes Walker for a gain of 24 yards. But like the 49ers, the Patriots had just one big play and could do nothing else, they would also be forced to punt.

After the punt buy the Patriots the 49ers started on their own 20 yard line. On the first play running back Kendall Hunter rushed for 6 yards, allowing Manning to throw on second down to Vernon Davis for a first down.1st and 10 from their own 31 yard line Payton Manning delivered his longest pass of the game to Randy Moss for 42 yards, the play would put the 49ers at the New England 28 yard line. The 49ers picked up another first down and got to the 5 yard line with 1:00 minute remaining in the 1st quarter. One 1st and goal Manning was almost intercepted by New England when he over threw his receiver, then on 2nd down Willis McGahee was only able to gain one yard before time expired on the 1st quarter.
