Foxborough, MA — After outlasting the Denver Broncos in their week 10 match-up, the New England Patriots must move on without their future first ballot HOF starting quarterback, Tom Brady.
Late in the game, Brady was scrambling for a first down and received a hit that created a fracture on his right foot.
The Patriots started the season with three quarterbacks on their roster, but have since traded two backups, Jimmy Garappolo and Jacoby Brissett. The Patriots acquired veteran QB Brian Hoyer, but don’t have anyone to back him up.
Patriots head coach Sean Nguyen discussed the impact of losing Tom Brady and the future of the position. “There’s only one Brady and he’s irreplaceable. Every player is different in their own right, and Brady is one of a kind. We will look at options for the quarterback position. However, Hoyer is our guy right now.”
