HOUSTON, TX - After 20 grueling seasons, nearly 300 games, and over 21,000 rushing yards, Nick Chubb is on the move once again.

Fresh off a bounce-back campaign with the Denver Broncos, Chubb has officially signed with the Houston Texans, marking his fourth team and latest challenge in a career defined by resilience, power, and quiet dominance. The 30-year-old back joins Houston on a one-year deal following a highly productive season in Denver - a move that surprised some, but not those who've followed his journey.

Chubb rushed 165 times for 894 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, averaging 5.4 yards per carry while not fumbling once. He also added 24 receptions for 180 yards, catching every single one of his 24 targets. It was a textbook Chubb season - efficient, physical, and mistake-free.

"Nick came in and did what he always does - produce," a Broncos coach said after the season. "He doesn't need hype. He just gets the job done."

And he's done that better than almost anyone in league history.

A Career Unlike Any Other

Chubb's place in the 2K Online Franchise record books is secure. Across 20 seasons, he's amassed:

  • 21,257 rushing yards

  • 4,196 carries

  • 214 total rushing touchdowns

  • 916 broken tackles

  • 105 runs of 20+ yards

  • Only 27 fumbles in 299 games

His longest run? A 100-yard breakaway - a fitting snapshot of a player who's been a threat to score from anywhere on the field, in any uniform.

From his early years in Cleveland to a two-year stint in Carolina, a short run with the Jets, and most recently his resurgence in Denver, Chubb has thrived in every system. He's evolved from a workhorse back to a veteran specialist, and now, as he steps into a new role in Houston, there's no sign he's ready to slow down.

“A Perfect Fit”

Speaking to the media during his introductory press conference, Chubb explained what drew him to Houston:

"I know some guys on this team - I know Joe Mixon, I've watched him from afar. This team has really turned it on the past two years. I know I have a chance to come here and win a lot of games."

After battling through injuries in previous seasons, Chubb was quick to silence doubts about his health:

"That's all behind me. What I did takes about two years to really get back, and I'm over the hump. I'm feeling as good as I have in a long time."

He spoke highly of the organization's energy and identity, saying:

"I was questioning why they wanted me… then I came here and saw a bunch of guys who like to work and not talk. I realized I'm a perfect fit."

And when asked about teaming up with Mixon?

"He runs super hard. I do the same thing. I think both of us having those same intangibles will be tough for a defense to stop."

Now, the league's third all-time leading rusher enters Season 33 in a new uniform, with a new opportunity, and the same mission:

Run hard. Lead by example. And win.
