Robert Griffin III got the job done for the Washington Redskins this week as they beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-21

>>It was over when…

3rd and 9 from the 50 yard line, the Cowboys down by two touchdowns were unable to guard against the long ball from RG3. That mistake cost them dearly, as Robert Griffin III threw a deep pass to his receiver for the touchdown. With the touchdown the Redskins got a 21 point lead, the Cowboys would score one more touchdown with 39 seconds left in the game, but that was to little to late.

>>Game Ball:

Redskins TE Fred Davis gets this week’s game ball. He had 137 yards receiving on 7 receptions and two touchdowns. “I’m happy to have been able to be a big part of the win today. I had a good week during practice so I was ready to go out and help as much as I could, it’s always nice when you get the ball and manage to help put somepoints on the board.” said Fred Davis.

>>Noteworthy:

The loss for the Cowboys just about closes the door on any playoff hopes they had, when coach Perez was asked what his thoughts were on the loss he replied “Not going to make any excuses, we played a great team tonight. I give them full credit, we knew we had our handsfull tonight with that defense of theirs. I’m extremely dissapointed though, I was expecting some of our guys to respond better, our season was on the line tonight and we just didn’t get it done. We’re not going to roll over for anyone the rest of the way, we’re going to continue to practice hard and play hard every week. If anyone in the team thinks about next year now then they don’t need to play the rest of the year, simple as that.”

The Redskins meanwhile, remain in first place in the NFC East and have another critical match up against the New York Giants.
