How they got here:
Without a doubt, the road to the playoffs for the Jets has been a crazy, amazing, unbelievable one. Just 4 weeks ago it looked like the Jets were completely out of the playoff race with a record of 5-7 and facing three teams that were well above .500, no one believed they would make the playoffs.
However, as someone once said…”YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!” and that attitude was exactly what they needed as they finished the season with a record of 9-7. It was a 3 team tie for that last AFC wild card spot but the Jets beat the Bengals with a conference record of 7-5 and had a better division record 4-2 compared to the Dolphins 3-3.
The Steelers finished the season tied with the Baltimore Ravens, both had a record of 11-5 but thanks to the Steleers winning both games against the Ravens during the regular season the Steelers held the tie-breaker.
