TDs On Repeat
Josh Johnson stepped up to lead the Lions to a 31-28 victory over the Bears.

“Toughest game I’ve ever played in” said QB Josh Johnson after the Lions 31-28 win over the Bears. “This is what this team needed, to get a win like this” he also added.  Josh Johnson played one of his best games of the season throwing for 191 yards and 3 TD’s while rushing for 73 in a down pour of rain throughout the whole game.

You could tell it was his game from the first throw where he connected with Stafon Logan on a 75 yard touchdown on the first play of the game. “Stafon played a great game, he needed to step up big” said Coach Morales. Logan would also catch a 4 yard TD later in the game as well.  While it seemed all good for the Lions, they would end up being down 21-28 in the fourth with 3:50 to go. QB Josh Johnson would lead a 60 yard drive overcoming two fourth and ones. With 2:00 to go Johnson would hook up with Damaris Johnson on a 36 yard TD on 4th and 1.

Next possession Chicago would throw a INT to Bill Bentley which was his 2nd one of the game. The first he took to the house. The game would end on a Hanson chip shot for the win. “Bill Bentley played amazing, he might be the reason we won this game” said QB Josh Johnson.

Although it wasn’t the prettiest, Detroit gets to 3-3 and play a big game vs 4-3 Seattle. A big concern for this team still is will All Purpose Player Darryl Richardson finally be able to return. Daryl a threat in both Rushing and Receiving is being missed and hopes to return for this game.
