This is the latest in what was a lengthy contract negotiation between Lions head coach Huey Gains and Golden Tate.
Sources have stated that Tate wanted around 16 million/yr and Gains only wanted to offer around 12-13/yr for the star wide receiver.
Coach Gains has released a statement shortly after the trade.
Tate has been an unbelievable leader and player for our organization for some years now. He stepped up to fill big shoes in that of Calvin Johnson and has adjusted very well in being our top receiver. Although it’s unfortunate we couldn’t reach an agreement, Tate will always be family to us and the city of Detriot. Best of luck to you in Indiana. Go Blue!
first trade of 2K OLF season 13?? Tell will tell which coach will benefit from this trade.
