Lamar Jackson throws 2 TDs as Baltimore Ravens beat New Orleans Saints 31-10 in Week 2

Baltimore, MD - Lamar Jackson spread the ball around, Zay Flowers finished his opportunities, and the Baltimore Ravens steadily separated from the New Orleans Saints in a 31-10 Week 2 victory.

Jackson completed 22 of 31 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns, earning a 111.0 passer rating. Both scoring receptions belonged to Flowers, who caught five passes for 60 yards. Mark Andrews handled the largest share of the passing game with nine receptions for 96 yards, giving Baltimore consistent production as it built an advantage and eventually pulled away.

The final margin reflected a broad statistical edge for the Ravens. Baltimore finished with 387 offensive yards to New Orleans' 243, recorded 25 first downs to the Saints' 13 and outrushed the visitors 176-80. The Ravens also converted six of 12 third downs and two of three fourth downs.

Most striking was the contrast near the goal line. Baltimore reached the red zone five times and came away with four touchdowns and one field goal. New Orleans made one red-zone trip and recorded neither a touchdown nor a field goal on that possession.

"We were able to keep giving ourselves chances, and when we got down there, we finished," Jackson said. "That's something you want to carry forward. There are still details we can clean up, but putting points on the board that consistently is a good place to start."

The Ravens' rushing production complemented Jackson's work through the air. Derrick Henry carried 20 times for 97 yards, with a long run of 18, while Jackson added 53 yards and a rushing touchdown on 13 attempts. Baltimore did not need one oversized gain to account for its ground total; Henry's longest run went for 18 yards and Jackson's longest covered 10.

Flowers supplied the touchdowns through the air while Andrews led Baltimore in both catches and receiving yards. The Ravens' two most productive receivers combined for 14 receptions and 156 yards, with Flowers' longest catch covering 21 yards and Andrews' going for 24.

"The biggest thing was turning our opportunities into points," Flowers said. "I got chances to finish, and I wanted to make sure I did my part. Lamar kept everybody involved, and that makes the whole group tough to settle in against."

New Orleans generated some resistance but could not maintain the same offensive pace as Baltimore widened the margin. Tyler Shough completed 19 of 30 passes for 163 yards and a 77.4 passer rating. His longest completion went for 25 yards, but the Saints finished just 3-for-11 on third down and 1-for-2 on fourth down.

Travis Etienne Jr. accounted for the Saints' touchdown on the ground, rushing 12 times for 68 yards. He also caught four passes for 28 yards, giving him a significant role in both phases of the New Orleans offense. Chris Olave led the Saints with 47 receiving yards on three catches, including a 25-yard reception.

Even with Etienne averaging more than five yards per carry, New Orleans finished with only 80 rushing yards as a team. The Saints' 163 passing yards and 13 first downs also left them well behind Baltimore's output in both categories.

"We didn't sustain enough," Shough said. "Three conversions on third down isn't the standard we're looking for, and getting that close to the end zone without points is frustrating. They created separation, and we didn't put together enough of an answer."

Baltimore's defense recorded three sacks without an interception. Tavius Robinson was credited with 1.5 sacks, the highest individual total among the verified defensive performances. The Ravens limited New Orleans to 10 points while the offense repeatedly added to the advantage.

The Saints' offense showed flashes through Etienne and Olave, but its longest verified pass play covered 25 yards and its longest run went for 22. Baltimore, by comparison, produced a larger body of work across the game, with Jackson, Henry, Flowers and Andrews each occupying a major role in the 21-point win.

For the Ravens, the most complete measure of the afternoon was their work on scoring opportunities: five red-zone trips, five scores and four touchdowns. Combined with 387 offensive yards and a balanced rushing contribution from Henry and Jackson, Baltimore finished Week 2 with a convincing home victory.
