HOUSTON, TX — The Jacksonville Jaguars made a statement in Week 5, completing the season sweep of the defending 2K Online Franchise Super Bowl champion Houston Texans with a dominant 44-20 win.
Just three weeks after stunning Houston 38-21 at home, the Jaguars once again overpowered their division rivals, this time on the road. Jacksonville improves to 3-2 with the victory, while the Texans drop to 3-2 after suffering their second loss of the season—both at the hands of the Jaguars.

The Jaguars wasted no time imposing their will, jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence opened the scoring with a 6-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a 1-yard touchdown pass to Brian Thomas Jr.
Houston got on the board in the second quarter with a 43-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Stefon Diggs, but Jacksonville quickly answered with a 66-yard strike from Lawrence to Brenton Strange, maintaining a 21-7 halftime lead. The Jaguars put the game away in the fourth quarter, exploding for 20 points. Lawrence connected with Gabe Davis on a 52-yard touchdown and Christian Kirk on a 26-yard score. Cam Little added two more field goals, including a 48-yarder as time expired.
Key Stats
Lawrence was nearly flawless, completing 13 of 19 passes for 220 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions while also rushing for a score. Travis Etienne Jr. dominated on the ground, racking up 135 yards on 24 carries. Strange and Davis led the receiving corps, each finishing with 66 yards and a touchdown.
For Houston, Stroud threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns, but the Texans’ offense failed to keep up with Jacksonville’s explosive attack. Diggs had 84 yards and a touchdown, while Collins added 82 yards and a score.

The Jaguars return home next week to face the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Texans will try to bounce back against the Tennessee Titans.
