Arlington, Texas – The Cowboys were seeking their first win of the season as they took on the Cincinnati Bengals in week 3 of the preseason.
Tony Romo had a strong one quarter outing completing 5 of 7 passes for 66 yards, zero interceptions and looked better then he has in the previous two games. “I felt good today, I wanted to just play smart out there get a better rhythm for where my receivers will be and work on our timing.” said Romo during his post game conference. The other Cowboy that stood out in the win was running back Lance Dunbar. Dunbar rushed for 78 yards on 17 carries, 1 touchdown and had the longest run of the game with a 19 yard rush.
Cincinnati quarterback backup John Skelton, although he had some questionable throws such as a throw that went behind him to no one (called a fumble on the field but went out of bounds) had a decent game, as he threw 2 touchdowns completed 14 of 28 passes, finished the night with a total of 129 passing yards and threw three interceptions, it was the first time he got picked off this preseason.
The Cowboys improve to 1-2 while the Bengals lose for the first time this preseason and fall to 2-1. Check out the complete game stats below as well as the 2K OLF Replay of the game.
