EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The Buffalo Bills rebounded from last week’s tough loss to the Steelers with a commanding 21-10 victory over the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. This was the first meeting of the season between these AFC East rivals. The Jets, coming into this matchup on a two-game losing streak, were unable to find consistency against a Buffalo team eager to return to the win column.
Game Recap
The Bills came out strong in the first quarter, fueled by James Cook’s explosive 60-yard run that set up his 1-yard touchdown plunge. Dalton Kincaid added another score with a 15-yard touchdown reception from Josh Allen, giving Buffalo a 14-0 lead.
The Jets showed signs of life in the second quarter when Joshua Booth connected with Mike Williams on a 27-yard touchdown pass, narrowing the deficit to 14-7 heading into halftime. However, the Bills’ defense tightened, allowing just a field goal in the second half.
Buffalo sealed the win with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Allen to Khalil Shakir in the fourth quarter, capping an efficient offensive performance.
