EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — The Cleveland Browns put on a defensive clinic at MetLife Stadium, cruising to a convincing 33-6 victory over the New York Jets. Quarterback Joe Milton III and a powerful rushing attack set the tone for Cleveland, while their defense smothered the Jets, forcing three interceptions and limiting scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Game Recap

The Browns controlled the game from start to finish, capitalizing on turnovers and maintaining efficiency on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Joe Milton III connected on two touchdown passes to tight end David Njoku, who proved to be a consistent red-zone threat.

Running back Nick Chubb kept the chains moving, finishing with 98 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown. Rookie wide receiver Tyrell Shaffer added a team-high 91 receiving yards in his second professional game, showing flashes of brilliance.

For the Jets, rookie quarterback Joshua Booth struggled to find his rhythm, throwing three interceptions despite completing 18 of 34 passes. The Browns’ secondary, led by linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, ensured the Jets were unable to build any sustained drives.

“We wanted to make them one-dimensional and force mistakes,” Owusu-Koramoah said. “Everyone stepped up, and it feels great to come away with a team win.”
