CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland Browns put on a dominant performance in Week 5, cruising to a 30-7 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. With the win, the Browns improve to 3-2, while the Chiefs drop to 2-3. Cleveland’s defense stifled Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense, holding them scoreless through three quarters, while Joe Milton III led the Browns’ offense with three touchdown passes.

Game Recap

After a scoreless first quarter, the Browns took control in the second. David Njoku caught two touchdown passes from Milton III, one for four yards and another for five yards, giving Cleveland a 14-0 lead. A 35-yard field goal from Dustin Hopkins just before halftime extended the advantage to 17-0.

The Browns continued their dominance in the third quarter, with Anthony Schwartz hauling in a four-yard touchdown pass from Milton III to make it 24-0. Kansas City finally got on the board in the fourth quarter when Xavier Worthy caught a three-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes. However, Cleveland answered back with two more field goals from Hopkins—one from 52 yards and another from 53—to seal the 30-7 victory.
