Kansas City, MO — Just when Coach Geronimo Elghoul was ready to take on the Kansas City Chiefs head coaching position he jetted back to Pittsburgh. Clark Hunt said “We had a deal and ready to get to work with Elghoul. I don’t know what happened you gonna have to ask him.”
This was the Chiefs official statement:
“After agreeing to contract terms to become the Kansas City Chiefs new head coach, Pittsburg Steelers coach Geronimo Elghoul this evening informed us that he would not be joining our team. Although we are surprised and disappointed, we will resume our head coaching search immediately and find the right fit to lead our team and organization on and off the field.”
There’s no way around the obvious: Elghoul is leaving the Chiefs in an awful situation.
Now the Chiefs have to start the process all over again.
Coach Norm shouldn’t be blamed for leaving. The previous regime should be blamed for mishandling the team. The Chiefs had time to get things done as the previous coach was exiting.
Someone pulled a Josh McDaniels! Lol damn Raiders are gonna run away with the AFC West again.
To many holes to fill. Instead of a 2 to 3 year plan would have been a 5 to 6 year plan lol
