SEATTLE, WA – The Seattle Seahawks fell behind early in the game but never panicked as they went on to score 24 unanswered points on their way to their first division title.
The Arizona Cardinals got ahead early in the game when their half-back Knowshon Moreno, broke away for a 19 yard touchdown run early in the first quarter. Things were looking good for the Cardinals as they managed to keep the Seahawks of the score board late into the second quarter.
The Sehawks kicked a field goal with 3:05 left in the first half and after stopping the Cardinals on their possession after the field goal, the Seahwks had 1:13 to score and that they did. Their drive began on their own 23 yard line, Rusell Wilson moved his team through the air completing key passes and rushed for 31 yards, then on the 1 yard line Marshawn Lynch bowled his way in for the go ahead touchdown, from there the Seahawks scored 14 more unanswered points. The Cardinals managed to score one more touchdown in the 4th quarter, but by then it was a too little too late.
“This was a really cool night for our football team,” Seahawks coach Lewis Johnson said. “We wanted to show up at home and get this thing done and continue to feel good about our team’s ability to win tough games.”
