MIAMI GARDENS, FL - The Buffalo Bills avenged their early-season loss to the Dolphins with a commanding 48-38 victory in Week 10, snapping Miami's three-game win streak and tightening the AFC East race. In a rematch of their Week 3 showdown, Josh Allen turned in a statement performance-accounting for 428 total yards and four touchdowns-as Buffalo overcame an explosive night from Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins offense.
Allen ignites Buffalo's revenge tour
Allen completed 22 of 34 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns while adding 100 yards and two more scores on the ground. He opened the night with a 50-yard sprint to the end zone and later hit Khalil Shakir on a 69-yard bomb that helped Buffalo build a 31-10 halftime lead. "That one felt good," Allen said afterward. "We owed them one after what happened earlier in the year, and the guys up front gave me all the time I needed."
Miami rallies but turnovers prove costly
Tagovailoa nearly matched Allen blow-for-blow, finishing 30-of-46 for 342 yards and three touchdowns, but three interceptions-including a fourth-quarter pick-six by linebacker Matt Milano-proved decisive. "We had our chances," Dolphins coach Sean Nguyen said. "But three turnovers against a team like that will bury you." Tyreek Hill hauled in eight catches for 131 yards and a 32-yard touchdown, while rookie De'Von Achane added two total touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving).
Defense and special teams swing the game
Buffalo's defense intercepted Tagovailoa three times-courtesy of Tre'Davious White, Joe Andreessen, and Milano-and forced a fumble by Greg Rousseau. Rousseau also recorded Buffalo's lone sack. Kicker Tyler Bass was perfect, drilling both field-goal tries (24 and 42 yards) and all six extra points.
By the numbers
Buffalo out-gained Miami 489-395 in total offense, went 9-of-14 on third down, and won the turnover margin 4-1. The Dolphins produced 340 passing yards but were held to just 55 rushing yards. Miami's Kenneth Grant led the defense with 2 sacks.
Up Next
The Bills (5-3-1) return to Orchard Park for a Week 11 home matchup with the New York Jets. The Dolphins (8-2) will look to rebound when they visit the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11.
