ARLINGTON, TEXAS — The Dallas Cowboys stayed undefeated, topping the New York Giants 30-17 at AT&T Stadium in a critical Week 2 NFC East showdown. Powered by a balanced offensive attack and a stingy defense, the Cowboys demonstrated why they’re a team to watch this season.

Game Recap

The Cowboys got off to a slow start, trailing 10-3 midway through the second quarter. Giants quarterback Jeremiah Matthews connected on a 73-yard touchdown to Wan’Dale Robinson, electrifying the Giants’ sideline. But Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott orchestrated two brilliant scoring drives to close the first half, including a 10-yard strike to tight end Jake Ferguson.

The second half saw the Cowboys’ run game take control, with Aaron Jones punching in two 1-yard touchdown runs. Brandon Aubrey‘s accurate kicking added to the lead, and the Cowboys’ defense held firm against a Giants offense that struggled in the red zone.

“I love what we’re building here,” said Prescott. “It’s all about executing the game plan, and tonight we showed our resilience.”

Key Stats

Prescott finished with 208 yards passing, completing 22 of 39 attempts with one touchdown. Jones carried the ball 19 times for 73 yards and two touchdowns. On the receiving end, Jones also contributed 80 yards on eight receptions, while Ferguson chipped in with four catches for 34 yards and a score.

For the Giants, Matthews threw for 279 yards, highlighted by two touchdown passes to Robinson, who totaled 93 yards on three receptions. Despite their efforts, the Giants’ inability to convert in the red zone proved costly.

Defensively, Dallas linebacker DeMarvion Overshown had two tackles and a key pass deflection, while Mazi Smith and Marshawn Kneeland each recorded sacks.

Injuries
