Arlington, TX — Coming into tonight the Dallas Cowboys had lost the previous two season openers versus the New York Giants. In those two losses the Giants outscored the Cowboys 26-71, and although the Giants offense still put up 38 points it was the Cowboys, thanks to their rookie wide receiver, who came away with the win on this night.

Cowboys rookie WR Lucky Whitehead made his 2K OLF League debut in style, all while setting records. On the opening kickoff Whitehead returned the kick for a 90 yard touchdown. Then late in the 3rd quarter with the game all tied up at 24, Whitehead returned a missed field goal 105 yards for a touchdown. Then early in the 4th quarter with the game tied up at 31, Whitehead once again returned the kickoff for a 95 yard touchdown. “You dream about moments like this as a kid. To go out and help win a game and make big plays, that’s what it’s all about.” said Whitehead following the game.
