ORCHARD PARK, NY — The Pittsburgh Steelers remain undefeated after an intense 20-14 overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills. Both teams entered Week 3 with perfect records, but a dramatic fumble return for a touchdown in overtime by Beanie Bishop Jr. sealed the win for Pittsburgh.

Game Recap

The first half was a defensive showdown with neither team scoring in the opening quarter. The Steelers struck first late in the second quarter when Russell Wilson connected with Calvin Austin for a 4-yard touchdown pass, giving Pittsburgh a 7-0 lead heading into halftime.


The Buffalo Bills responded in the third quarter as Ray Davis broke through for a 6-yard touchdown run as time expired, tying the game at 7-7. The fourth quarter saw both teams trading blows. Russell Wilson delivered his second touchdown pass, a 1-yarder to Roman Wilson, putting Pittsburgh up 14-7. However, Josh Allen orchestrated a quick drive, finding Dalton Kincaid for a 7-yard touchdown with just 19 seconds remaining. Tyler Bass’s extra point tied the game at 14-14, sending it to overtime.

In the extra period, the Steelers’ defense made the decisive play. With the Bills driving at their own 20-yard line, Beanie Bishop Jr. recovered a fumble and returned it 8 yards for the game-winning touchdown. The Steelers held on for a 20-14 victory, capping off a thrilling defensive performance and maintaining their undefeated record.

Key Stats

Russell Wilson completed 14 of 25 passes for 130 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Wilson also led the Steelers in rushing with 89 yards on six attempts, including two runs of 20+ yards. Najee Harris contributed with 43 rushing yards and 50 receiving yards. Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson both hauled in touchdown receptions.

For Buffalo, Josh Allen threw for 157 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. James Cook rushed for 53 yards on 16 carries and added 54 receiving yards. Dalton Kincaid led the team with 51 receiving yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard each recorded interceptions for the Bills.
