NEW ORLEANS, LA - The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with offensive lineman Barry Wesley on a one‑year contract, adding further depth to their O‑line room. The move, announced June 20, follows the signing of other UFL standouts Seth Green and Jayden Price.

From Colorado State to the Pro Ranks

A Lakewood, Colorado native, Wesley played five seasons at Colorado State, where he started 38 games across both tackle and guard positions and earned the Albert C. Yates Student Leadership Award in 2019. Though undrafted in 2022, he rose through the ranks-signing with the Massachusetts Pirates (IFL), then playing for the XFL's Seattle Sea Dragons before landing on the Atlanta Falcons practice squad in 2023.

UFL Performance with the Stallions

Wesley joined the Birmingham Stallions in November 2024 and went on to play nine of 10 regular-season UFL games in 2025, making eight starts at both guard and tackle. He logged 405 pass-blocking snaps while allowing only two sacks and 11 pressures - a testament to his adaptability and technique.

What Wesley Brings to New Orleans

Standing at 6'7″ and listed near 310 pounds, Wesley's versatility allows him to fill in on both tackle spots and inside at guard - a key asset for New Orleans, which saw its O-line struggle to stay healthy last season. Head coach Kellen Moore views him as a camp body with potential to earn a practice squad spot, with a chance to step up if injuries arise.

Training Camp Outlook

With the Saints opening training camp later this summer, Wesley is expected to compete alongside current backups and developmental players for a roster or practice squad spot. His UFL experience and inside/outside versatility give him a legitimate opportunity to stick around into the season.
