NEW ORLEANS, LA - The New Orleans Saints have signed cornerback Jayden Price to a one-year contract, continuing their trend of picking up talent from the UFL. Price joins fellow Renegades teammate Seth Green and former Stallions lineman Barry Wesley in the latest roster moves announced on June 20.

From NDSU to UFL to Saints

The 25-year-old cornerback starred at North Dakota State from 2018 to 2023, appearing in 71 games. He finished his collegiate career with 107 tackles, 17 pass breakups, three interceptions, and a school-record five punt-return touchdowns.

After going undrafted in 2024, Price signed with the Atlanta Falcons and played in the preseason, leading the team in tackles during a matchup against Miami. However, he was released during final roster cuts.

2025 with the Renegades

Traded to the Arlington Renegades, Price played in all 10 games and started eight. He recorded 29 tackles, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and tied for the league lead with 12 pass breakups.

On special teams, he averaged 9.7 yards per punt return on 20 returns (194 yards total) and added 337 kick-return yards, ranking among the UFL’s top returners.

What Price Brings to New Orleans

Price brings a combination of coverage skills and special teams value, qualities that align with the Saints' history of valuing versatile defenders. His experience returning punts and kickoffs gives him an extra dimension for roster consideration.

Training Camp Outlook

Price faces competition from seven other cornerbacks on the Saints roster. His best path may be through special teams play on punts and kickoffs, where his track record suggests a potential impact.
