EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - One of the most successful head coaches in recent 2K Online Franchise history is out of a job.

The New York Jets have officially parted ways with head coach Robert Saleh after seven seasons, ending a tenure marked by both sustained regular-season success and postseason frustration. Despite leading the Jets to a 73-46 regular season record and four playoff appearances, Saleh will not return for Season 33.

A Respected Run

Saleh took over as head coach at the start of Season 26 and immediately established the Jets as a contender. He led the team to a winning record in five of his seven seasons and secured three straight AFC East titles in Seasons 30, 31, and 32.

His best year came in Season 28, when the Jets posted a 14-3 record and advanced to the 2K OLF Super Bowl XXVIII, ultimately falling to the Dallas Cowboys. That loss marked the peak of a tenure that always flirted with greatness, yet never quite cleared the final hurdle.

Saleh finished his run with a 4-4 postseason record, including a playoff appearance in his final season, which ended with a crushing 34-30 loss to the Raiders in the AFC Divisional Round.

A Sudden Exit

The decision not to retain Saleh doesn't appear to be purely performance-based. According to multiple league sources, friction had developed between Saleh and team ownership, particularly regarding his handling of the Aaron Rodgers situation in Season 31. Rodgers, acquired to elevate the Jets' championship hopes, found himself in and out of the starting lineup amid a cloud of internal tension. While Joshua Booth ultimately led the team to its playoff run, the management of the quarterback room reportedly drew criticism behind closed doors.

Those sources described the split as "philosophical," with the front office wanting to chart a new course despite Saleh’s results on the field.

What's Next?

The Jets will now begin their search for a new head coach - their first coaching change since Season 25. It's unclear what direction the franchise will take, but expectations will be high for whoever takes over a roster built to win now.

As for Saleh, with a winning track record, a division title three-peat, and a Super Bowl appearance under his belt, his next opportunity in the league may not be far behind.
