Foxborough, MA — This week’s game of the week featured two of the hottest teams in the league. The Washington Redskins came into this game on a four game win streak, while the New England Patriots have won their previous three games.
For the Redskins the win streak came to an end today as the Patriots dominated on both sides of the ball. Tom Brady completed 16 of 19 passes, threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Redskins’ Robert Griffin III had 185 yards passing and one touchdown. Stats wise, it was his lowest game of the season since coming back as a starter in week 5.
Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson had a great game on special teams. With just over five minutes left in the first half, Patterson returned a kickoff 101 yards to give his team an 11 point lead. Then on the kickoff to start the second half, Patterson would once again take it to the house with a 105 yard touchdown return.
