GREEN BAY, WI — The Green Bay Packers dominated in all phases of the game to hand the Chicago Bears their first loss of the season, securing a 27-7 victory at Lambeau Field. Quarterback Jordan Love and kicker Eddy Pineiro spearheaded the Packers’ effort as they controlled the tempo and neutralized Chicago’s offense throughout the contest.
Game Recap
The Bears’ offense struggled to establish any rhythm, and the Packers capitalized on their opportunities early. Eddy Pineiro opened the scoring with a booming 52-yard field goal in the first quarter to give Green Bay a 3-0 lead.
The Packers extended their advantage in the second quarter. Love orchestrated a clinical drive capped off by a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Reed. Pineiro added another field goal from 21 yards, sending Green Bay into halftime with a commanding 13-0 lead.
Chicago showed signs of life in the third quarter as quarterback Caleb Williams found rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze for a 12-yard touchdown, cutting the deficit to 13-7. However, the Packers quickly responded. Love hit Luke Musgrave for a 1-yard touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion from Josh Jacobs.
Pineiro sealed the game in the fourth quarter, adding his third and fourth field goals from 37 and 49 yards, respectively. Chicago’s offense faltered late, and they were unable to overcome the relentless Green Bay defense.
