ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - The Baltimore Ravens stormed into primetime and silenced Highmark Stadium with a dominant 35-13 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Powered by Lamar Jackson's four total touchdowns and an early 21-0 blitz, the Ravens controlled the game from start to finish.
Ravens' First-Quarter Avalanche
Baltimore wasted no time. On the opening drive, Derrick Henry broke free for a 26-yard touchdown run. Minutes later, Jackson hit Zay Flowers on a quick 2-yard strike to stretch the lead. Jackson then kept it himself on a 14-yard touchdown run, putting Buffalo in a 21-0 hole before the first quarter ended.
Bills Fight Back, but Mistakes Mount
The Bills responded in the second quarter with a 35-yard field goal from Tyler Bass and a 16-yard touchdown pass from Josh Allen to Elijah Moore. But turnovers proved costly. Interceptions by Roquan Smith, Trenton Simpson, and Jaire Alexander halted promising Buffalo drives, killing their momentum just as they seemed to settle in.
Jackson Seals It
In the second half, Jackson added two more rushing touchdowns-a 3-yard score in the third and a 1-yard plunge in the fourth-cementing Baltimore's dominance. He finished with 208 passing yards on 17-of-21 throws while adding 74 yards on the ground. Mark Andrews (7 catches, 90 yards) was his top target, moving the chains on multiple key third downs.
Buffalo's Missed Opportunities
Allen put up 290 yards and a touchdown but threw three interceptions and lost control of two red-zone chances. Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid impressed with 8 catches for 78 yards, while James Cook III contributed 118 total yards. Still, the Bills couldn't overcome their mistakes. Even when their special teams provided sparks-blocking two of Tyler Loop's short field goal tries-they failed to build momentum.
Postgame Reactions
Lamar Jackson praised the team's fast start: "We wanted to jump on them early, and that's exactly what we did. When our run game sets the tone, it makes everything easier."
Derrick Henry credited the offensive line: "They created lanes all night. My job was just to hit the hole hard and keep us ahead of the sticks."
On the other side, Josh Allen admitted frustration. "You can't spot a team like that three touchdowns and expect to come back. I've got to take better care of the ball."
Up Next
The Bills will try to rebound on the road against the New York Jets in Week 2, while the Ravens return home to host the Cleveland Browns.
