MIAMI, FL — The New York Jets snapped their three-game losing streak in dominant fashion, defeating the Miami Dolphins 30-6 in their second and final meeting of the season. After a tightly contested Week 1 matchup that also went the Jets’ way, this game saw New York take control early and never look back. The Dolphins, still searching for their first win of the season, struggled to find any rhythm offensively and now head into their bye week with an 0-5 record.

Game Recap

From the opening drive, the Jets looked determined to shake off their recent struggles. Quarterback Joshua Booth commanded the offense with poise, completing 16 of 25 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. He connected early and often with Xavier Gipson, who finished with seven receptions for 112 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Breece Hall provided balance to the offense, carrying the ball 23 times for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Miami’s offense, led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, struggled to generate consistent drives. Tagovailoa completed 18 of 32 passes for 179 yards with no touchdowns. The Dolphins’ only points came from two field goals, and their rushing attack was stifled, with De’Von Achane managing just 38 yards on eight carries. Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was Miami’s lone bright spot, recording five catches for 90 yards, but it wasn’t enough to spark a struggling offense.

The Jets led 20-6 heading into the fourth quarter before putting the game out of reach with another touchdown and a field goal. Miami had no answers, as their offense stalled repeatedly and their defense failed to contain New York’s attack. The victory secured the season sweep for the Jets and provided a much-needed confidence boost as they look to climb back into the playoff picture.

Injuries

Neither team reported any significant injuries during the game, though Miami’s continued struggles on offense may prompt changes moving forward.
